For my second craft, we're doing what I call the "doodle card." For the doodle card you are going to need a piece of scrap paper with one blank side, some markers or other coloring utensils, and a glue stick or tape (you shouldn't use liquid glue because it doesn't really work with paper).
How to make the doodle card: fold the paper in half one way, and then in half again the other way. Open it up and you should sort of be able to see a cross going through the paper dividing it into 4 equal sections. Using the picture below, set up what I call the "net" of the card by drawing the cover on the top right quarter (this should be going the long way). Add the text on the inside of the card in the bottom left quarter.
Then when you fold it up you should have a card. Because there is still an opening that we don't need, use your glue or tape to close it.
Finished product:
This is a great explanation of how to make a card starting with just the blank side of a piece of paper. I love the idea of then gluing the unneeded opening closed.
